Enjoy our grounds. Our lodge is nestled between two forks of the Gunnison River, in a quiet neighborhood. Rather than a “large box hotel” surrounded by asphalt, you will be in one our seven log clad buildings, located on a heavily treed and beautifully landscaped 3.2 acres. Walk to the end of our property to dip your fishing pole in the water. In the evenings, sit out on the porch or enjoy roasting marshmallows in one of our fire rings.
Island Acres enjoys an outstanding location at the tip of an island (yes, there are islands in Colorado) and next to the Gunnison River. Easy access to Hartman’s Rocks and the White Water Park (both located just across the road).

Gunnison is about 25 miles from Crested Butte, the site of Maren & Josh’s wedding on Saturday, July 14. The drive is very easy and the scenery is very beautiful.
Rooms are very scarce in Crested Butte, because the wedding is during Crested Butte’s annual Wild Flower Festival.
