Map and Directions

-Head north on Pena Blvd toward Shady Grove St.
-Hit I-70 West
-take I-70 West past Silverthorne and Frisco and exit Hwy 91 towards Leadville
-take through the town of Leadville onto Hwy 24 South through Buena Vista
-Hwy 24 turns into US 285, take that High way south until US-50.
-Turn right at US-50 (60 miles) over Monarch mountain pass.
-Take US-50 into Gunnison

-Head north on Pena Blvd toward Shady Grove St.
-Hit I-70 West
-take exit 260 to merge onto CO-470 E toward Colorado Springs
-Take the exit onto US-285 S toward Fairplay
-take US-285 S until Johnson Village (near Buena Vista) (a while)
-take a right at the stop sign Hwy-24 towards Buena Vista and turn left at W. Main St (CR-306)  in town and follow signs towards Cottonwood pass.
-take CR-305 - 209 over Cottonwood Pass. (it is a long slow drive, but nice sights at the top of the pass.
-go to the very bottom of the pass and turn left at Taylor Reservoir (742) and head around the lake staying on 742.
-Take 742 all of the way to Almont.
-Take a left to go to Gunnison and a right to head to Crested Butte.
